Eternity Bible College is Officially Accredited

For all of those who have been involved with Eternity Bible College, yesterday was a great day. We officially heard back from ABHE that the school is now accredited! This is great news for the institution and for the students as well. Here is an old video about what makes EBC distinct:

Who is Paul Talking About in Romans 7?

This past week in my class on Romans and Galatians my students answered the following prompt: Who do you believe Paul is talking about in the famous passage in Romans 7:7-25? Provide reasons and evidence for your answer (see Kruse commentary, 314-21). This weekend, Preston Sprinkle (Professor & Vice-President of Eternity Boise) addressed this sameContinue reading “Who is Paul Talking About in Romans 7?”

The Righteousness of God

What does Paul mean when he says, “But now the righteousness of God has been manifested apart from the law” (Romans 3:21a)? Romans 3:21-26 21 But now, apart from law, the righteousness of God has been disclosed, and is attested by the law and the prophets, 22 the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ forContinue reading “The Righteousness of God”

Back to Africa – I am Going to Liberia!

Mangrove trees, political refugees, diamonds, civil wars, American colonialization, and yes even surfers. Some Thoughts on Hebrews – Perfection and Recovering Addicts

As I was studying Hebrews and what Guthrie had to say about Hebrews 5:8-9, I was struck by one of Guthrie’s examples,Continue reading “Some Thoughts on Hebrews – Perfection and Recovering Addicts”

Mushy Brains, Dry Brains

It sounds like the title of story book for hungry little zombie children. Don’t worry though its not, I haven’t broken the ground on the genre just yet. Mushy Brains, Dry Brains, is actually how I feel after reading certain books. The other day I was talking to a friend who teaches at Eternity BibleContinue reading “Mushy Brains, Dry Brains”

Book Review – Fight: A Christian Case for Non-Violence by Preston Sprinkle

“I do not believe that Jesus wants Christians to use violence. And if I can be so blunt: I think that a large portion of the American Evangelical church has been seduced, whether knowingly or not, by nationalistic militarism. Yet our inspired Word of God aggressively critiques this very thing….” – Preston Sprinkle (Fight: AContinue reading “Book Review – Fight: A Christian Case for Non-Violence by Preston Sprinkle”
